New Online Boundaries to Explore

The internet is a major resource to humanity. As of October 2018, global digital population presents the digital population worldwide. About 4.2 billion people are active internet users and 3.4 billion are social media users. And as of January 2018, Netcraft Web Server Survey recorded 1,805,260,010 (over 1.8 billion) websites to exist on the internet. During 2016, there was a significant increase. Starting out the year at 900 million in January 2016 and growing to 1.7 billion in December 2016. Significant for sure!

The internet has been popular for many years and is increasingly growing by the second, and because of the sudden increase during 2017, now is the perfect time to jump on the internet and make it a career. Let's face it, many brick and mortar stores are closing down just to remain online only. But why would these companies and franchises close down their physical stores? When you break down business and marketing, there are many components. There is usually the Head Office, anywhere from one to billions of individual franchises. Each individual franchise has someone who is running that specific location, maybe multiple managerial figures, and multiple employees working under those figures. Within that criteria, all of these figures working for that franchise earn a salary or hourly pay. And then come the operational fees. 

Fees:

• Franchise Fees (and other payments beyond initial investment)
• Advertising Fees / Marketing Funds
• Audit Fees
• Product Fees
• Royalty Fees
• Territory Fees
• Training Fees
• Transfer Fees

A good amount of money is poured into these franchises just to keep them operational for the production of product distribution. Product distribution is the main component to keep these businesses open. So within that knowledge, companies are always looking to not only save money but bring more money in. So if cutting out some of those expenses and fees benefit the net-worth of the company, most likely the company will head in that direction.

The internet, being an unstoppable force, is now becoming more and more recognized as a habitable place for business. According to the documentaries, experts believe digital marketing is and will be a swift conversion and will leave many without a job. It may become the last frontier for individuals to continue lucrative employment. According to stats, 96% of just Americans alone shop online. The majority of those shoppers prefer shopping online because it saves time and they like to avoid the crowds. Online shopping is a thriving market. According to a Statista report, e-commerce created about $2.3 trillion in sales and is expected to hit $4.5 trillion by 2021.
